Tri-Torque Stablizer

Introducing The Tri-Torque Stablizer by Tien Audio
The world’s first three-stage torque adjustable turntable

Digging more information from the vinyl tracks has always been the most important goal of our company. Last year we launched the TT3 turntable which caused a tremendous change response from the industry. This year we launched the Tri-Torque Stabilizer (TT3 can be directly upgraded)!

The use of torque in the recording replay technology have not been carefully studied by the turntable designers, because there is a certain degree of difficulty to adjust small motor torque; and overweight platters that use low torque motor, creates large inertia which cannot reflect the subtle changes in the track reading. Our TT3 turntable is a low inertia turntable, coupled with the design of three motors in order to control torque, and thus achieve the corresponding master of different engraving.

Three-stage torque design principles

There are simply three types of Master production of a record, the wax master, the lacquered master, and master of the metal plate with a metal version (commonly known as DMM).

The three notches into to DMM the shallowest, lacquer second, and wax master the deepest.

Because the depth of the groove marks directly affect the contact between the friction of the stylus and record. Due to the different depth of the groove marks, therefore they required different kinds of torque that corresponds to each type.

During the development of the TT3 turntable, we conducted torque setting tests for audio enthusiasts in Taiwan. We asked our guests to listen to different torques using different musical instruments on the Internet. The answers were disagreeable and were not focused on certain Torque is to get more preferences.

Take a few examples

*Decca’s engraving is more suitable for high torque settings

*The late DGG in Germany (1970) is more suitable for low torque

*DMM Slim Edition is suitable for medium or low torque

1.Decca
